Dear Villainess,
I am a mad scientist. In the event that, during the course of an evil scheme, I turn myself into a giant, murderous monster with semi-supernatural powers, am I bound by the rules governing mad scientists (i.e. that I must die horribly and onscreen, preferably at the hands of my own creation), or the rules of semi-supernatural monsters (that I must appear to die, but without my body ever being recovered, and "resurrect" immediately upon the need for a sequel)?
- Ready to Drink the Potion
Dear Ready,
Your question is an excellent one, and I am happy to report that after years of aggressive lobbying on the part of MSDOS (the Mad Scientists' Defense Organization for Survival) I have an excellent answer for you. Not only are you, once you have transformed into a semi-supernatural monster, under the rules for semi-supernatural monsters, but if you kill more than three high school or college age girls (or any three teenagers so long as at least one of them had engaged in sex prior to his or her murder) in the course of your scheme you may also claim the Death Battle Exemption. So get out there and knock 'em dead.

Dear Villainess,
I just found out that my daughter had the following printed in her high school yearbook. "Be aware that we have already started marking you for death. You will not know it until the bullet enters your brain. Have a Nice Day." Is she a budding villain, or just in need of professional help?
- Worried Mom
Dear Mom,
I asked you not to read my yearbook. Jeeze. That was years ago.
